Enthusiasm gap? So just where does all this Romney enthusiasm come from? I just

can't see it. He has to be the least popular Republican candidate of my lifetime. Let's say adult lifetime anyway. I was 19 when Reagan beat Carter. There's the Mormon factor too. Lot's of conservatives hate Mormons.

So you have more of a chance of right-wingers turning out because they hate Obama, but how many will that be? So you hate blacks a little more than you hate Mormon's, and that's enough to make you endure the lines in some of these states? I think the voter suppression fired up more minorities than Republican's counted on. No data. Call it a hunch, a gut feeling!

It's not enthusiasm for Romney, it's anti-Obama. Fox and the conservative media have succeeded... pointsoflight Nov 2012 #3

Every republican I know that is going to vote for him, and some are not, are voting for him because he is not Obama or because he is anti abortion and no other reason. The really dislike him, but not as much as obama.

believe all that crap? Out of about 12 people I work with, maybe two swallow all the Muslim/sohshulist bullshit. I would say six of them probably won't vote. I'll believe it when I see it, that they get this huge turnout.

....so why expect their ground team (save for the teapotties, wingnuts and anti-Obamettes) to be enthusiastic.
