Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is slated to address supporters with a video live stream on Thursday night, his campaign confirmed Tuesday.
"He will speak directly to supporters about how the revolution continues," campaign spokesman Michael Briggs said in an email to TPM.
The video address is scheduled for two days after Tuesday's Democratic primary in the District of Columbia, the final contest of the primary season. Sanders still has not signaled whether he will concede the nomination to Hillary Clinton, the party's presumptive nominee.
While the exact time for the address isn't set, Briggs said the stream would be available to anyone who signs up on the campaign's website.

(1,220 posts)Listening to him and his surrogates talk, it seem like the asshole level/paranoid feeling of being targeted by the Dems will lead them to think they can do it as independents.

(10,893 posts)can do that this time around. He's cash-strapped after all the spending on ads and rallies, and some states have sore loser laws. A few die-hards of his will probably write his name in, but it'll be for naught.

(28,342 posts)I remember what that all felt like as an HRC supporter in 08. It's difficult and it hurts. I have great empathy for what his people are feeling right now; almost all of them with sincerely held and heartfelt wishes and hopes for this country.
He's a decent man who will do as he promised, to back the nominee, and do everything in his power to make sure that orange POS is stuffed far, deep and long into the annals of the most embarrassing episodes of history.

(11,605 posts)I was an Obama supporter but I felt a little sad watching Hillary's concession speech. I got a little choked up when she said that just because she fell short in her goals, she didn't want other women to be discouraged from pursuing theirs.
Thank you for your kind words about Bernie and his supporters.

If he loses in what he is trying to accomplish, millions of others lose too-- nearly half of the voters in the primary, among others.
He is simply pushing for reform.
