already raining... N'oreaster likely setting up. The RED parts of the state will get it worst.

I have confidence that the GOTV efforts here will narrow that margin considerably. That will keep the sun shining well into the night.

Wonder who the latter will break for. When I moved to Naples 5 years ago, I did consider registering as Unaffliated simply because of this being a RED area and didn't want to put up with any of the Repukes shit.

One would have to search far to find a deeper, darker, more sinister RED, afterall, isn't this our governors hometown?

I'm halfway between Sarasota and Ft. Myers on the Gulf coast and it just started raining lightly. Looks like the first band before the really heavy stuff, and probably cold air right behind it--maybe by noon? Will make for some miserable lines. Rain gear and winter woolies wouldn't be a bad idea (so upper 50s isn't bitter cold and we're wimps--no sense risking misery!)

Of course, this is serious retiree territory with very few brown faces, and if the weather turns people away later in the evening, it might not be a bad thing. Family actually voted over a week ago and we had zero lines, which is never the case on election day.

Rained really hard overnight. That rain has moved on east of us toward Tallahassee and is not showing right now on our radar. Temp is 52 with a high of 69 forecast for today. Mostly cloudy now, but should clear as the day goes on. No more rain in the forecast. This is a very RED part of the state and our county is split something like 60/40. Anyone standing in line today should not have bad weather to deal with.

Husband and I already voted over a week ago. So no lines or waiting for us! Just baking snacks today for our victory celebration.
