Just won an argument with Republican birther

Coming home from voting at my polling place here in Ct. Walked by a guy with a sign that said "Don't vote for the Kenyan" Asked him why he thought Obama was born in Kenya when he produced a birth certificate proving he was born in Hawaii. He said there was a video online proving his birth in a Kenyan hospital. When I told him that was a fraud, he snapped back that the video was from some very "reliable" people. I asked who, and he didn't tell me!!

I pressed him further to name names. I said if you have solid evidence, come forward with it. He still refused. Then he shouted Obama kills jobs. I responded with two words, Bain capitol!! That pissed him off big time. He called me a socialist, and said Obama is in cahoots with Castro's Cuba and Hugo Chavez. I said Romney is in cahoots with Wall Street and billionaires.

Then he went ballistic, calling me every name in the book. i asked him why he voted for Romney and he said, "I don't want any fucking socialist Kenyan running the country". I said so you want a flip flopping, lying Wall Street, soulless idiot running the country?? He said this conversation was over, got in his car, and sped off in a huff!!

I just love it when a birther goes nuts!!

Those guys get really confused if you don't buy the talking points and go at them with facts.

something evil and horrible don't have a clue what they're talking about. I have an aunt & uncle who are lower-middle class but are adamant Republicans, and they've thoroughly enjoyed a couple of trips to Europe - one mostly to Britain, and the other mostly to Germany. Aside from the current financial problems in Europe, I'd love to say to them 'Socialism is so awful? Then why did you go to those countries? Did the people seem to be unhappy and oppressed? Are they angry that they have national healthcare?' (no way), etc.

There are laws that say you can't have political signs, etc. within a certain distance.

to win an argument.

They don't even know these facts exists when pressed.

It does feel good when they devolve into shouting epithets at you instead of explaining their reality.

The WIN as far as your story is concerned is that he got in his car and drove away so you and other voters didn't have to endure him anymore.
