by Free Press staff
November 6, 2012
The Free Press is receiving multiple reports of ES&S optical scan machines in Cuyahoga County (Cleveland). One specific polling site where this is happening is the University Heights Library.
Also, at the Driving Park polling site in Columbus' inner city, many voters' names are not showing up on the voting list and they are being forced to vote provisionally. The lines for provisional voters are longer than the ones for regular voting.

(44,973 posts)I don't think its fraud either. But how does that make it any better?

(39,313 posts)I think you wrote about that - scanned later is not a comforting option!

(44,973 posts)I am glad they are not being given provisional ballots, since I believe Husted is on the war path to discard as many of those as he can. But, I agree about it being very discomforting.

(44,973 posts)But instead of each voter scanning his or her ballot and getting a receipt, authorities will have to do it some time later (supposedly).

(41 posts)That was the plan. Get as many provisional ballots as possible and dispute them one by one? What is the court make up in our Ohio Strong Holds?

(494 posts)My son used the machine with no problem but my husband voted paper ballot and our polling place had no idea what to do with his ballot. They kept asking him if he would like to vote Provisional. I have a feeling this could be a nightmare...
