Some of the stories about what is happening there is pretty demoralizing. Seems like a big hot mess.

I'd have him keep his information to himself until the OH elections officials release their official numbers.

Voting turnout is high; not as good as 2008 but better than 2010. High turnout of students and minority voters. Large number of early votes already banked. Voting machine issues are being dealt with by their legal team and are being fixed or replaced. Their technical experts and legal people (ditto Chicago) ARE NOT WORRIED about the software patch issue affecting vote accuracy. Expect votes to come out starting 7:45. Will take longer than 2008 to get a tally, but expect one tonight.

2010 is a pretty low bar, is it not?

That has me worried that high turnout from the Republicans could swamp us there.

or that our gross turnout is down, or that our turnout relative to the bad guys is down?

Sorry for the peppering of questions.

The source saying turnout is better than 2010 but <2008... Is she talking about voting today only? How does she factor in the early votes? We have some decent room in OH. Our early voting numbers are lower I imagine but a 2 pt win is just as good as a 4 pt winZ

... but I'm encouraged by the fact that they don't seem worried about the voting issues. I would have liked turnout to be closer to 2008, because "better than 2010" is a bit of a downer (since 2010 sucked).

Anyway, glad to hear they think we'll get a tally tonight. Crossing my fingers, frankly, that we don't need Ohio for the win, just in case...

Was that the minority vote percentage was better than expected and Dem areas were a bit higher than non-Dem areas. She was pretty optimistic.
