A positive voting experience from Arkansas

I live in a rural area (Lonoke county) about 25 minutes northeast of Little Rock. The workers were very friendly. An elderly couple was being turned away when I arrived, so I quickly tuned in to see what was going on. It sounded like they had come to the wrong location. The workers were helpful and directed them to the correct location. Everyone was friendly with one another. A neighbor and I joked about cancelling out each other's votes. The lady that instructed me on the voting machine was very clear that I needed to double check my ballot before confirming and showed me where to look on the paper print out to double check that my choices had been recorded correctly. And they were recorded correctly. The entire experience only took about 30 minutes. I'm glad it's over.

Now I can sit on pins and needles waiting on results!

Don't forget though; Arkansas uses ES&S machines. I work with systems and software and I find their stuff to be execrable.

I'm taking my 18 year old with me to vote later today. Her first presidential election!
