I went to vote today and for the first time since I started voting, there was no line. I was able to walk in, write down my name, and go to one of multiple empty booths to vote. In the past, I've had to wait for 5-10 minutes.
Mormon effect?

(8,758 posts)MI will turn out. Never underestimate crackers. They'll turn out in droves to vote for a mormon over a black guy.

(16,846 posts)In fact, I'm pretty sure that the guy ahead of me and I were the only white people. There were 3 areas voting at my place. One area is majority white, another area is about half white and half black, and my area has a large black majority with about 25% Asian and a few whites. The white area had only a couple of black people voting, the 50/50 area had a few black people and no whites, and then there was a long line of voters in my area with, as I said, me and one other guy the only white people. I think the white voter turnout is going to be a lot less than that of the black voters. I have seen only a couple of Romney signs and virtually no enthusiasm for him.

(5,599 posts)wanting to vote for a mormon. No one has really discussed this openly, but I do think there will be low numbers
out of these red states.
