For All You DU Worrywarts - Here's Your Chill Pill

Q: would you rather have President Obama's polling numbers going into today, or Mitt Romney's numbers?

Would you feel better if Nate Silver was giving Romney a 92% chance of winning?

Would you feel better if Rmoney was leading in all the swing states?

Would you rather Romney was the incumbent?

Now, chill the fuck out!

but my worry doesn't run on logic. I want to know what Jeb Bush, Katherine Harris, Karl Rove, Ken Blackwell and all the little clones we haven't seen yet are up to. I'll quit worrying sometime soon, promise.

So, no need to tell us to chill out. We'll chill out when our man wins.

Especially this morning, when I faced mobs of angry old white people - FURIOUS old white people, who practically spit at me when I offered them a paper with the Democratic ticket on it.

But I felt better after the early rush as more and more young-middle-age folks, young moms, and college-age kids came in to vote, took my ticket and shook their heads politely at the Republican fellow.

(Weird experience: As he came out of the polls, some guy handed me something that said "Putin 2016" and then had "No Cowards" underneath (the word "coward with a red slash through it&quot . I told him "sorry, I don't watch Fox. I have no idea what this is". He yelled "I gave one to the Republican, too!!!!". We're still scratching our head over that one)

...so as it is, my current 10% fear is worry enough that I won't completely relax until Obama's victory is in the bag.
