For those of you in panic mode about election stealing

just do a Google search on election fraud 2008 and you'll find that the same stuff that's being reported now was happening back then as well. Doesn't make it right, but it also doesn't mean we need to freak out about it on election day.

Obama will win this no matter what. Spend your energy voting.

Nothing wrong with being diligent. I really think getting rid of privatized voting needs to be top priority as soon as Obama is reelected.

The first step is to elect more Dems at the state and local levels but as a party we have trouble keeping our shit together between elections. And every two years Repubs have new tricks yet we are only partially prepared for their old tricks.

Yes, this election is close, but I really trust that the Dems are all over this. Too much is at stake and too many eyes are all over the place. I cried in 2000 when that election was stolen - I know it can happen - but it will not happen today. Obama is going to win.

Broken US System Needs Watching: International Election Observers Could Face Arrest

The OSCE, a 56-member international organization (including the U.S.) which routinely sends observers to monitor and oversee elections in countries around the world, has been monitoring US elections since the highly controversial presidential election of 2000, which ended up having the presidential race decided by a split 5-4 decision of the U.S. Supreme Court. (The OECD was invited to start monitoring US elections in 2004 by none other than President George W. Bush, who was handed the presidency in 2000 by the Supreme Court.) Until this year, its monitors have had no problems doing their job, but this year hard-right officials in at least two states -- Texas and Iowa -- have threatened to have the international observers arrested and criminally charged if they attempt to monitor any polling places in those two states. Other states may join them.

GOTV may work this year, but we fix this broken, humiliating system or millions more are going to throw their hands up and say "to hell with it."

We are so fucking arrogant we won't allow the OSCE to observe and monitor our system? This needs to be a top priority after the election.

That would explain why they tried so hard to fight Obama at every turn. Because, you know, they wanted him in there.
