with friends (2 hours or so.) Hoping to skip out on the exit polls (make me nervous) and come back to an Obama victory in Virginia.

And Obama won it by like 5 or 6 that year, NOVA takes a lot longer to count than the rest of the state, McCain was actually leading in VA for hours before NOVA came in.

I don't expect much different this year, but I might eat these words, I hope i do.

...the rural areas come in first and they are very red. So don't freak out if it doesn't look good in the beginning. Be patient!

My sister-in-law in Virginia just voted for Obama. We know for sure he's got at least one vote. She's in northern Virginia, too. Fingers crossed.

Will all be in by then. A coworker said that it might not be called until midnight or so, because of the big Allen-Kaine-Cantor races.

I thought that McCain was going to take it in 2008 until I heard about the blue counties being counted last.
