Leave Sen Sherrod Brown off the possible VP list

1-the Senate needs his vision & voice
2-F-ing rep gov will appoint another R into that seat
3-ONLY Dem of any stature from Ohio (history of poor Dem Party recruiting leaving the VERY good chance of a purple state becoming red in the near future.)
If the Senator & his family choose otherwise, I will fall over myself to make it so.
But still.....Ohio needs him in the Senate.

Your points are all completely valid.

As to his family, I believe his wife is firmly opposed to any such move.

she would be replaced in a special election. And there are some strong Democrats waiting in the wings.

she could effectively fight there, too.

She wouldn't want to be just a figurehead. And Hillary would understand that, I'm sure.

and Clinton's connection to that same street, I personally find it hard to believe Warren will be offered the position. But what do I know?

And she gets a far better platform. She is very junior in a body where seniority gives power. For example, there are many ahead of her on the banking committee.

Her current power is all from her intelligence and ability to persuade and inform. She can use that from anywhere.

of Elizabeth Warren as VP right now, is back before Bernie got in and many of us were hoping EW would run, the main argument against her running was that she needed to stay in the Senate.

Why now is her leaving the Senate so appealing?

from a Republican state should become the VP, because we needed to win back the Senate.

But then the Boston Globe published a piece about how he'd done some research on the legalities there, and realized a replacement by the R. governor would be very temporary. So he stopped opposing her -- and it sounds like he's actually been promoting her since then.

and speeding up the election of a new one doesn't alter her specific value as Senator. Whereas the Vice President is generally a figurehead. They can promote the President's policies, but they don't have any real influence of their own. They can't propose legislation. All of her amazing effectiveness will go away.

I know all the people shilling for her disagree with me. Plus her opposition to Wall Street and Hillary's support thereof are irreconcilable. Unless Warren rolls over and simply abandons her positions on these things, in which case I'd lose all respect for her.

When Bernie endorses Hillary on Tuesday, will you say he's shilling for Hillary?

180 degree turn about Elizabeth Warren as a candidate for higher office. 18 months ago she was too valuable in the Senate to run for President. Now, she's ideal for VP.

Bernie campaigning for Hillary will not be shilling for her. Plus, he's remaining in the Senate.

That has made a difference.

But I personally never thought she was too essential in the Senate to run for the Presidency. I just preferred Hillary. However, I also think they might make a great team.

In fact, everything I said concerning VP is 10 times a better argument if the position were President.
