The media will always play up the GOP candidate. Remember 2012? A picture is worth a thousand words

The media does this every presidential election cycle. They know the GOP presidential candidate is at a huge disadvantage every 4 years.

The GOP candidate has won the popular vote only once in the last 6 presidential elections cycles and their prospects get worse every 4 years because their base of white voters is shrinking as a proportion of the electorate. Meanwhile, the minority population continues to grow.

The media knows this so they play up polls that show the GOP candidate close or ahead even if those polls are outliers.

Polls like the one Quinnipiac released today, which clearly under-sampled minorities, should be ignored.
