Don't like the numbers in NC--I'm getting ready to be disappointed

Been watching the votes on the NC BoE website--Obama has been steadily losing
ground-- and is now down by 117,000 votes with 54% voter turnout counted (2008 was 70% voter turnout)

My impression was that it was an icing on the cake win. Something that would put us to bed earlier, perhaps.

The GOp raised the old Ghosts of Dixie, and sadly, many of the Yanks that moved to Carolina bought into the racial hate. I would love to be wrong, but I remember getting pilloried by union types for saying that we should NOT move the convention after they did their nasty anti gay vote. I guess I was wrong, and that will be reflected. I just hope my Florida does well, because then that means we will have come a logn way into putting those nasty confed ghosts to sleep.
