Been watching the votes on the NC BoE website--Obama has been steadily losing
ground-- and is now down by 117,000 votes with 54% voter turnout counted (2008 was 70% voter turnout)

(13,616 posts)The GOp raised the old Ghosts of Dixie, and sadly, many of the Yanks that moved to Carolina bought into the racial hate. I would love to be wrong, but I remember getting pilloried by union types for saying that we should NOT move the convention after they did their nasty anti gay vote. I guess I was wrong, and that will be reflected. I just hope my Florida does well, because then that means we will have come a logn way into putting those nasty confed ghosts to sleep.
