(786 posts)I think of it more of a reflection on the person or people saying it rather than the group or person that receives it.
Obviously the people dislike the the group or person that they are referring to so why do we make ourselves look like playground children when we result to name calling?

(711 posts)I'm not a fan of name calling. It needs to be an incredibly original, or fitting name/insult to work. I seldom hear those.
I also hate words like "shill." It robs people of their sincerity, of their beliefs. It's not a very bright political move, either. What is shilling to one person, is passion to another. Underestimating an adversary's passion is never a good idea.
I just tune out the "name callers." It's like, "next post, please."
