In a press conference Manafort says Trump will leave with Malania tonight and return Wednesday.

In other words, he's not attending his own convention. Is this a thing, because it sure sounds doesn't-give-two-shits to me.

The GOP would love someone like Pence as their presidential candidate. Pretty much a clean slate when it comes to scandals (not counting the dumbass statements that piss off everyone but conservatives). If the GOP could force Trump out of the race then Pence would be perfect. Some 'Dick Cheney' prototype would be picked as the VP so Pence can be the face of the party while the VP actually runs it (kinda like 2001-2009. Let's face it - Bush was nothing more than a puppet, Dick Cheney did all the real work).
