Related: About this forumWho's looking forward to day two?
Since day one of the republican convention turned out to be a cross between the sinking of the Titanic and a dumpster fire, what can we expect from day two?

What's next? A goose-step around town brandishing torches?
Maybe break a few windows?
I have a feeling they'll surprise us...I have faith in them.
All we have to do is sit back and the GOP chaos and backstabbing happens all on its own.

(146,325 posts)Something disastrous is almost certain to happen during today's session or outside of the venue.
The media smells blood in the water, and will be seeking out the worst possible things. The Never Trump folks may turn their backs during the roll call, for example, or boo Trump loudly. Nothing will surprise me. I'll be watching for the disaster.

My ROTFL emoji is going to need a vacation after this week.

(10,857 posts)Twitch.tv, which specializes in broadcasting people playing video games, musicians, artists, and Bob Ross reruns, has boldly decided to broadcast the GOP convention, uncut and with no comment but that of the viewers themselves.
Not only is it the place to see the disastrously weak speakers that the networks are cutting away from to save face, but the comments are some of the funniest things I've ever seen.

At the end of each speech, you will notice viewers typing "GG" in the chat. That's short for "good game," an international signature of good sportsmanship.
Last night I saw someone ask why a gaming channel was streaming this convention, and someone described it thus: "this is a game where you have only one life and no saves, and if these guys win, you lose."
GG, Republican Party. Better luck next time.
