Can Donald Trump Actually Lose the 2016 Election? Probably Not.
Hillary may be beating him in the polls at the moment, but Donalds got other plans.

So heres a question for that ultimate insider of outsiders: Can Donald Trump actually lose the 2016 election? Lets say Hillary beats him, as the polls of the moment suggest she will. Has he lost? Probably not.
After all, hes brought his brand to a far broader global audience on a stage so much larger than any Apprentice imaginable. He could lose dramatically, blame the Republican establishment for being mean to him, and then expand the Trump brand into new realms, places like Russia, where hes long craved an opening. Vladimir Putin and he could golf together bare-chested while discussing the imminent demise of the American empire. My country could have been great again, he could sigh, if only it had voted me in. His consolation prize: a Trump Casino in Moscows Red Square?
In other words, whether the establishment supports him or not, whether he wins on November 8 or not, his brand wins, which means that he triumphs.
Consider this: The Old Post Office building on Pennsylvania Avenue with views of the White House is already wrapped in blue Trump International banners as its being converted into a luxury hotel. Due to open two years ahead of schedule and two months before Election Day, its one of Ivankas projects. It ensures that her father has branded the avenue regardless of whether he ends up in the White House or not. Given the propertys location and what its presidential suite is sure to look like, working in the Oval Office might prove to be a downgrade.

The real estate swindler could care less about the nation or the job. He bullied himself into right where he needs to be for a huge windfall. If gas goes up or inflation takes off and he actually wins, he'll just delegate it. It may work out so badly he will be the last president.
Good luck all.

(58,785 posts)of the sort he's been attracting turn on him for losing. His "brand" could end up on the shelves of dollar stores. It will probably depend on the size of the Republican loss. A fairly close loss he can probably make money from. But a real disaster, they'll turn on him big time.

(7,365 posts)Hillary will play prevent defense and slide in by the hair...sadly, it's a crock of shit we're not 25 points up in the polls of such an absolutely clown.

(58,785 posts)the breeze all along. So it's narrow now. Big deal. It'll do more ups and downs, but probably not quite this narrow as more people get more serious about this and pay more attention.
Too bad we can't place bets for money. My guess is Hillary wins by a good margin. It's the downticket races that are more uncertain. Will we take the Senate? Unfortunately for us, the presidency is the only slot Trump is running for.

Those aren't his supporters, so this may or may not be really indicative of too much. On the other hand, it reinforces the notion that younger folks want little to do with the cheat.

(8,013 posts)he might lose. That's what I hope for daily. But you're right, he's about brand not companies... he markets his name and makes money doing it while others lose their shirts.
