Meant to emphasize the point that Trump must be defeated.

(Not that Hillary should literally name a serial killer as VP)

That it was over the top hyperbole to encourage unconditional support for someone no matter what. That should never be encouraged.

You realize Jack the Ripper is in all probability dead, yes? And yet you still interpret this literally rather than the visceral sentiment it implies?

And here I thought only the fundies we mock are literalists. Sadly, I was obviously and dramatically incorrect in my conclusion.

I live among many of these types. They're just programmed to support the Republicans regardless of who they are and viciously attack the Democratic candidates regardless of who they are. They get their marching orders from the RW hate machine on radio talk shows and Faux Snooze to make them feel like their position is valid.

For at least the last 9 POTUS elections, these Republicans have pontificated on how their party stands for morals, principles and family values while they supported candidates that progressively have declined on these values. And now they support Trump and vow to vote for him because of their flimsy alibi that "he's not Hillary." It's just a ruse to give them the excuse to continue to vote for the Republican even though Trump is a polar opposite of everything the Republicans have shoved in our faces for the last 30 or 40 years regarding morals and family values.

If these people were even half as loyal to their faith as they are to their politics, they'd be up for sainthood.

The only thing that matters right now for the country's sake and the world's sake is that Trump is defeated.

We must defeat Trump. If she thinks Kaine is the best way to do that, then that's just fine with me.
