Those are the faces Donald Trump puts on the Republican Party with his candidacy. He's providing plenty of ammunition for GOTV activists to use when convincing sensible people to vote for Hillary.
He will continue to show those faces from now until November. Let's make use of his negative ideas and take them to the streets, social media and phone-banking in our canvassing for GOTV.
We can win this going away. But we are going to have to do the work.

(11,607 posts)Protectionism is a legitimate political view held by many who feel that "free trade" puts American workers at a disadvantage and has negative environmental consequences, as well as creating slave-like working conditions in other countries. There is nothing inherently xenophobic about protectionism.

(24,692 posts)"Protecting" Americans from foreigners may not be xenophobic but I see how it can be misconstrued as such.
Trump wants to 'protect' us from certain foreigners with a wall (Mexicans and other Cenreal Americans), travel bans (Muslims from anywhere) and unilateral tariffs (Mexicans, Chinese and, presumably, any other country or group he does not like).
