2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWill Kaine make it to Florida?
He's here in RI - I almost went and staked out the airport (less than a mile from my house) and yes, that's the (1) airport in the state to see if maybe I could see a bunch of press there before the announcement.
Anyway, we're currently under severe thunderstorms - it's pretty bad out there and the 1 airport in the state is ground zero right now. The lightening over my house is intense and the airport is closed - I'm pretty worried about losing power and 5 of my 9 dogs are FREAKED out - I have two sitting on me as I type this and three more trying to sit on me. The rest are sleeping.
But, in good news, it's about a 5 hour flight to Miami from here, so if he leaves in the morning, he will just make it to his own roll out presser.

As long as they don't try to take off, they should be fine - going to be a long night for him trying to get down to south Florida in 12 hours.
NWS has us under severe thunderstorm warning until nearly 1 AM with high wind warnings

(3,231 posts)a nice trip to Newport? Maybe they are friends? It's a nice time of year up here in the northeast - well, except the whole heatwave thing we're having right now.
