What is the job of the DNC?

I read on FB someone who was saying that the DNC support of Hillary is illegal and there should be charges filed. That doesn't sound right to me. I thought the committees were essentially clubs that we join to support our political candidates from. They can pretty much do what they want, can't they? Isn't that what the whole super delegate thing is? The way they can make sure their guy gets in no matter what we do?

That's what I love about this place!! The support and understanding of the members! I mean, nobody here would ever make a snotty comment designed to make another person feel small or stupid. Cause the people here are better than that.

Thank you SO much for reminding me of that!! You are AWESOME!! You are so kind and generous, it must be great to be you!

By proving to be an excellent example of internet investigative skills, you are an inspiration to us all!! Gosh, it is a privliege to be able to be on the same message board with someone as technologically gifted as you are!!

And to think, it probably took fifteen seconds to respond to me with your purposefully cryptic comment! You could always have just offered a simple answer as some others have, but NO. You want me to strive for my own answers. You will make a GREAT dad!! Thank you for so selflessly spurring me on to find answers for myself. You must be so much fun to be around!! Always guiding others to better themselves. Thanks, man!!

3. the major issue here is people who believe the DNC is a public organization.

It isn't. It's a private one. If they wish, they could publicly endorse and support any candidate and any time to the exclusion of anyone else.

6. First the Republicans, now the authoritarians seeking to criminalize noncriminal behavior

I've read the "explosive" emails. There was no support for Hillary expressed. The party was trying to counter the outrageous claims being made against it. The DNC are stewards of the party. If they were discussing ways to counter some of the vitriol against the party by people who didn't seem particularly vested in the party, I can't fault them.

"The way they can make sure their guy gets in no matter what we do."

Who are the "they" and "we"? The person with enough delegates to secure the nomination, gets the nomination. If someone wants the nomination he or she needs to go out and win it. That's the way it has always been.
