big money seems to work in CA....I keep hoping that when the Northern CA counties come in, it will be better ...maybe even pass......but it does not look good.

Opponents have dumped millions into that.

Companies don't like it when they are told to let people know what's in our food.

I thought part of the vitals for a vibrant market economy is consumers ACCESS to information? Yes, that and competition and cost internalization.

The Democrats need to start speaking UP market principles, but with sensible regulation and expose the Repubs as cronie capitalists who have no interest in preserving market principles, rather greed and power. Then combine that with some 'religious liberals' who will speak to shit Jesus spoke about (feeding the hungry, curing the sick, peace)...combine that with our traditional base and put the Republic party out to pasture and allow the Libertarians to rise.

You could win a ballot proposition calling for selling underage girls and boys into sex slavery if you had sufficient funding.

And if there is one thing that Monsanto has, it is funding.

The only prop actually being called is Prop 35, Human Trafficking

35 Human Trafficking 3,160,463 83.2% YES 638,468 16.8%NO

You can see from the numbers why. Prop 30 and 32 will probably go down to the last votes.

Prop 37 was attacked by Monsanto and Du Pont with a ton of misleading ads. The Prop 37 people needed to get their message out BEFORE the corporations adulterating the food supply attacked.
