Bernie Sanders has created a Frankenstein that he no longer control

I just saw Sanders addressing his supporters and received cheers all around when reviewing his stump speech, but when he tried to tack to attacking Trump and promoting the support of Hillary, the boos drowned out any cheers. To me he seemed surprised by the response. I think he will now have to enjoy life under the bus, he is certainly not driving any more.

The far left radicals seem determined to go their own way, destroy the convention, and ensure that the rest of us spend the next four years under Donald Trump.

Trump's campaign director is on CNN right now saying that the Sanders people are right to be pissed off. He is gleeful, literally gleeful that his will not be the only convention distroyed by decent.

If Sanders would spend less time pushing his REVOLUTION and more time explaining to his people the practicality of politics, he would be a better spokesperson.

what makes you think Bernie supporters can't and/or won't think for themselves?

I think all Bernie created was the idea of possibilities to make this country better.

There are obviously people out there who don't like Hillary and that could have nothing at all to do with Bernie.

And I don't see the convention being destroyed; it hasn't even technically started yet.

But whether zealots can understand practical politics, or whether they really want to, is a totally different subject. If they don't see that their current mood can destroy the convention, they are not very bright politically.

Purity allows no contamination.

The vast majority of Sanders supporters have already switched over to Hillary.

You and I know that the DNC has been trying to put their fingers on the scale for a long time so let's not pretend this is something new.

When someone's anger and frustration causes them to have a worse result than if they had if they were thinking clearly, we generally are usually concerned about such a person's though processes. Or as we in the South would more charitably phrase it, "Well bless his little heart".

Instead, they should be persuaded not to vote against their own interests -- that the Clinton/Kaine ticket is the best way to begin the change they seek.

However, if they still maintain that a Trump presidency is OK with them, then I think we have to walk away knowing we did the best we could and try to go after Republicans that can't bring themselves to vote for Trump.

The fight for justice and equality, especially against the monied special interests. That's a fire that he can't put out,and doesn't want to put out. But what he needs to do is explain how seriously a demagogue like trump will destroy his movement, by poisoning the well of America. These delegates have so demonized Clinton, that they obviously can not see this, though Bernie clearly does.

Trump will ruin America in a way that may lose a generation and damage progressivism in a way that no one else could by stirring up the destructive force of hatred and stealing some of the Left's populist appeal. Bernie wants his movement to succeed, it can't if Trump becomes President. Some delegates and other die hard Bernie supporters are not seeing this-- hopefully they will before it is too late.

It is time to find out if Sanders is more interesting in continuing his revolution or beating Trump.
