So now we'll discover who the REAL Bernie supporters are... and aren't.

Bernie is asking his supporters not to cause problems for the convention.

As I see it, there are three categories of Sanders supporters (with a great deal of overlap of course).

A - Those who loved his character and integrity even when they didn't always agree with his positions. (That's me).

B - Those who were well to the left of the Democratic party as a whole and were hoping to get a candidate that they could support. (I think that's most of DU).

C - Those who were sick and tired of "the establishment (tm)" and "politics as usual" - hoping beyond hope that someone could change the system... and only adopted Bernie's positions because he represented real change.

Category A should be listening to the man that they believe in. If he was good enough to represent you as a leader before... then he should be treated as a leader now.

Category B should support the farthest-left candidate remaining in the race. Protests at this point are counter-productive

Category C are the people who will be causing trouble. Bernie probably can't quiet them because he was just the convenient hook to hang their hat on. They aren't REALLY Bernie supporters.
