We won because we turned out the vote in big enough so elections couldn't be stolen. There were still tons on of voters who couldn't/didn't votes because of the tactics of purging voter rolls and misleading voters about id cutting early voting intimidation holding up lines etc...

If anything, the masses of Dems still need awakening to the depth of the dangers.

We need to have a Congress that's not constantly trying to impeach the Atty General so he can't do his job. I think the President and DOJ both know the problem, but the GOP has (as you know) been totally obstructionist.

NO BLATANTLY PARTISAN PERSON SHOULD BE RUNNING ELECTIONS.

NO VOTER ID LAWS

NO BS SOFTWARE UPDATES ADDED AT THE LAST MINUTE

NO VOTER INTIMIDATION

Let's have OPEN and HONEST voting like they have in Western European countries.

I am incredibly happy that it didn't end up mattering. I believe Republicans used every trick they had, but it still wasn't enough. Now we need to make sure that it's easier for people to cast their votes. No one should have to stand in lines for hours just to vote. We should be able to say with confidence that the machines that count our votes do it accurately. Not really asking that much.

that the older we get the more we can appreciate that most of the troubles we've known never happened.

In other words, don't let the unrealized cares of tomorrow live in your head rent free today.

"I am an old man," said Mark Twain near the end of his life, "I am an old man and have known a great many troubles, but most of them never happened."

No problems? Standing in a voting line until 10:30PM may not have been a problem for you, but I don't think those poor people saw it quite like that. There were huge problem with voter ID and voters purged from the rolls unfairly. There were likely untold number of people who cast a ballot that will be thrown out.

There is no way you can make a case for ignoring this issue. The right's ability to interfere with voting just gets more sophisticated and more varied every election. All of the above suggestions are good. I'd like to see a set of federal rules that standardize the process and make it not only tamper proof but painless for every citizen to vote.
