They voted for Bernie so overwhelmingly that Hillary got no pledged delegates there, so them asking for nomination by acclamation sends a strong message of unity. I am surprised the Bernie campaign was able to get his Vermont delegates to agree to this.

It's meaningless if Clinton will be ahead in the vote already, which by the time they get to Vermont will have already happened.

In 2008, wasn't NY moved up in order so HRC's call for nomination by acclamation actually made sense?

I think that OP was misinformed. They are now reporting that Vermont will go last, so I don't really know what is actually going to happen.

preference for either candidate. And at the end we have a show of unity.

I just hope that there are no Bernie or Busters who decide to boo when the call comes. Or if there are a few, they need to be drowned out.
