Did I hear Britt Hume correctly last night at 11:16..."this lame duck president".

Just for shits and giggles, I thought I tune in the funeral coverage over on fox via Sirrius while I was driving home. Coincidence of timing, I happened to be there just as the doctor called time of death - 11:16pm(EST) when they reported Ohio. Not sure who said it but there was a brief moment of silence and then "well...that's it".

Somber.
Reserved.
Sounded like they lost their script.
Almost felt like the end of Monty Python and the Holy Grail where all the police show up and the actors just start milling around.
I love the smell of resignation in the morning (ok - evening, but you get the point).

Then, like a phoenix rising...Britt Hume says something like "well, I expect we'll see Obama really start working seriously with the republicans in congress. That's typical for a LAME DUCK PRESIDENT, you know...someone who won't be elected again".

WTF ???

Did I hear that correctly? Are we possibly headed for 4 years of Mitch McConnell and his asshat friends at fox introducing an update of their their commitment to limit Obama to one term. That's right - could we see the chinless one speaking soon in the capital rotunda telling us that his goal is to limit Obama to two terms, no matter what.

Is this the foundation of Obstructionism 2.0 for the next 4 years? It's O's responsibility to compromise with the repubs because, well...you see...he's the short timer.

Thank god these guys are mostly on the outside looking in. I don't have the imagination capable of thinking about these jerks being in control of a dog pound, let alone the country.
