Dick Morris - My predictions were wrong - I Didn't see the NEW USA

I guess he forgot that in America, Angry old White dudes aren't the only members of the electorate.

"Fox News contributor Dick Morris said on Wednesday that his prediction that GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney would beat President Barack Obama was wrong because his election models were not reflective of “the new America.”

I think that the reason the prediction I made was wrong is that I was criticizing the polling because I said it reflected the same turnout model as there was in 2008. And I said that I thought that was a one-off affair and that it would not continue and it would not be the permanent turnout model for the United States,” Morris said on Fox News.

"He added: “What this is saying is this is the new America. This isn’t your father’s America.” Morris, a former adviser to President Bill Clinton, had predicted a Romney landslide.

Morris said that unless the GOP-ers can appeal to some of the key Democratic constituencies, they won’t be able to win again.

The percentage of single women, minorities and voters under 30 is so large at this point that unless the Republican Party fundamentally changes its appeal to those voters, it can never win an election,” Morris said.

He continued: “If this candidate in this economy against this opponent can’t win an election with this electorate — nobody ever can. And what the Republican Party needs to do is to stop running in the face of those demographics, and start appealing to them and start revising some of its priorities and its positions in order to reach that vote because that vote is here to stay.”

We in the reality based community have been saying it all along. I suspect he knew this. There is something wrong with him upstairs. He's missing it. I can't put my finger on where.

Additional lies.
Additional divisive tactics.

I know its just me, but I wish Morris would suddenly start speaking like William Shatner.
In fact, I would watch Fox news a LOT if they all started speaking like Shatner.

There's an app for that.

Morris is just now realizing the GOP can't just marginalize, suppress, and obstruct the non-white voters.
The message about race and immigration will be very different next time, maybe the existing GOP base will be thrown under the bus.
When you have a candidate who says his plan is to make life so difficult for immigrants that they self-deport - you have to understand the consequences of that. And Romney clearly didn't count on not being able to walk back his lies and spews - perhaps he will try and buy YouTube next.

Romney looks to me like a guy who is used to having complete control, without doing any heavy lifting himself.
I think the GOP figured they had successfully suppressed voters in PA and OH and FL enough to win, and they seemed shocked.
I kept waiting for Rove to crack and say hey I know there are 50 bags of GOP ballots in a storeroom somewhere in Ohio - drag those out and count them. Now!
