He will also be called "Mr. Clinton" frequently, and "Mr. President" in many cases, as all former Presidents are often addressed.
Frankly, it doesn't matter.

(37,748 posts)First Gentleman is the formal title as per the AP Style book, and the male spouses of the six female governors currently holding office in the U.S. unofficially go by first gentleman; though I imagine Mr. President would still be acceptable.
In May, Hillary Clinton said, Ive already told my husband that if Im so fortunate enough to be president and he will be the first gentleman, I expect him to go to work to make sure we get those jobs growing and incomes rising.
