In a way I'm glad Trump's statement is out there EXCEPT

we are supposed to dominate the news cycle during our convention. It also bothers me is that Trump is getting exactly what he wants...publicity. Nicole Wallace said Trump campaign is happy because they woke up trying to figure out how to dominate the news cycle. Hope all of this negative press cripples his campaign. Might cause his numbers to climb because his supporters are psycho.

While a small group of conservatives seem pro-Russia, it's simply because of the adversarial relationship between Obama and Putin. That group will side with anyone. The larger group of conservatives will be disgusted with what Trump said.
