Do you think its because of social media?? That people feel like what THEY think is the most

important thing EVER? That maybe that's why some of the hecklers can't get their heads out of their own asses? They feel like their every thought and feeling is important to the rest of the world?

My premise is that social media is adding to the sense of entitlement some of these people have.

we have for each other. It's easy to be rude anonymously and then it becomes a habit.

Social media makes everyone think they are a special little snowflake. In reality, all opinions are not created equally.

to that stance. But I don't know that it's a sense of entitlement. I think social media has taken things that used to be information gathering/listening, like reading a newspaper article, and turned it into interactive, like commenting in the comments section, tweeting about it, arguing.

They are so used to, when they hear something they disagree with, immediately being able to voice displeasure, so much so that they they interrupt speeches. A speech is a listening activity. It's only interactive from the standpoint of cheering. It's not a conversation.

is pure social media. The arrogance is the pseudo-tech, Snowden/Assange ideology that information is knowledge.

Sometimes positive sometimes negative. In this case social media has twisted the minds of many of these b.o.b. individuals.

I am totally awesome. My kids are totally awesome. My husband is totally awesome. I can fly. I can do anything better than you. I am super nice if I like you. If I don't like you I'll kick your ass. I see dead people.
