Nancy Pelosi says white men don't like Clinton because of guns, because of gays, and because of God

First, identify the problem!

Source: The Week, Bonnie Kristian

Republican Donald Trump leads Democrat Hillary Clinton 56 percent to 25 percent among white men, according to a recent survey — and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) believes she knows why.

"So many times, white — non-college-educated — white males have voted Republican," she said in an interview with PBS on Tuesday. "They voted against their own economic interests because of guns, because of gays, and because of God, the three G's — God being the woman's right to choose."

Pelosi advised Clinton to attract more white male voters to her campaign "with an economic agenda to create jobs" because, for this demographic, "it's about the economy."

A New York Times report last week suggested the Clinton camp is already worried about its deficit with white men and picked Sen. Tim Kaine for the VP slot in an effort to address that problem.

there are millions who hold different values, but if there's a threat to our democracy, they'll be the ones serving as the footsoldiers for tyranny

Racism also drives them. I work with a bunch of Trump supporters delivering newspapers and they are a hateful bunch of people. Racist, every last one of them. And afraid of fucking everything. Mostly men, all white and mostly 30-60 years old.

2. Sorry Nancy, but you left out the biggest, the "F", for fear. That fear drives the "G's".

They are scared of everything. They are scared because they dropped out of high school and since the mine/factory closed, they can't find a job. Their guns make them feel like they have some power over people again in their lives, because just being white doesn't cut it any more. They are afraid of gays because of their own insecurities about everything else, and that they are somehow being forced to recognize gays. They are afraid that they won't be able to go to church, but for the life of me I do not understand that because most of them do not except for funerals or weddings.

They are scared of their own shadows. "F".

I'd venture to say it's the same throughout the South. People just assume that because I'm a straight, white male I'm a right winger. You would not believe the incredulous looks I get when I tell them I'm a Democrat!

... care less about tRump or the RNC but they're few and far between.

I'm thinking the usual human tribalism, ... what has been your experience on why they would support someone like tRump?

Ohio has a few of those types as well.

Since I'm white and clean-cut, many of them automatically assume that I'm "one of them." Sometimes I don't reveal my liberal leanings right away, and thus I hear all kinds of racist comments that they'd normally keep to themselves.

As for my Tea Party co-workers, here's their general characteristics:
1. They don't like compromise at all. If a Republican compromises with Democrats, that person is a RINO. They despise you if you disagree with them about anything political.
2. FOX News and AM talk radio is like crack cocaine for them. They try to constantly have the break room TV on FOX. If it's not on FOX during their lunch break, and others refuse to acquiesce to their demands for once, they get antsy and spend the rest of their lunch breaks in their cars to hear AM talk radio.
3. They seem to think they're "real Americans" while others are not.
4. They are MUCH more vocal about their political beliefs compared to most people.

something else I've noticed, is that the LOUDEST of the Trumpler supporters I've encountered have problems and don't own up to their own responsibilities as to WHY they have problems. It's more convenient to blame everyone else but themselves. Yep, last place I worded was LOADED with that kind of "man"

All those weak, insecure white Republican males are quaking in the their dirty socks at the thought of a woman in charge of our country. When Hillary is elected, millions of strong, assertive, powerful women will rise up and demand our full rights as free and autonomous citizens. Suck that, all you misogynistic Neanderthals!

but reactionaries like that fear losing their stronghold on the country and society. I think that's what's really driving the poison towards HC (and towards a certain 44th president).

In my experience the educated ones are just more quiet about their racism/misogyny.
