Romney lost Asian-Americans by 40 points

As an Asian-American, this makes me so happy. Our community has long been used by conservatives as a sort of "house Negro" demographic to promote the racist status quo in America. The older generations, affected by communism in countries like Korea and China and Vietnam, may have been persuaded by the lofty free market propaganda of the GOP, but the new generation of Asian-Americans are much more aware of what's really going on and are punishing the GOP accordingly.

So that's yet another demographic, one that is rapidly-growing and socially mobile, that the Republicans have probably lost for a generation. Many Asian-Americans will grow up as the Obama Generation, and barring some remarkable GOP candidate, we will likely be lifelong advocates of the Democrats.

Man it feels good.

and African American too.

I remember a chart in the paper a few months ago that showed party breakdown all ethnic groups. Among 'minoroties.' Asians had the lowest percentage self-identified as Democrats, 65%. But the way the Republicans behaved during this campaign, I am not surprised that number went up.

The Tea Party, in the end, did the Republican Party no favors, but they showed all of us what modern day racism and misogyny in politics looks like. And it wasn't pretty.

carrying the torch for their older relatives.

The GOP, unless it changes is the party for rich, entitled Whites, and bigots. The people who realize this are moving away from them.

African Americans, Asian Americans, Latinos, American Indians, Anglo American, Muslims, Christians, Athiests, Gay and Straight the Democratic Party represents America, it is the "melting pot" of political parties at the moment and has been for the past few decades but under Obama it is vibrant.

I am proud to be a Democrat!

Obama won 70% of Jewish-Americans. That certainly helped put him over the top in FLORIDA.
