After Early 'Fart-In,' Sanders Fans Consider Future Moves

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/asian-america/after-early-fart-sanders-fans-consider-future-moves-n619001

PHILADELPHIA — The fart-in planned by Sanders supporters at the Democratic National Convention materialized a day earlier than expected, with several Sanders delegates from Massachusetts passing wind around 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday, organizer Cheri Honkala told NBC News ...

Honkala, who ran as Green Party candidate Jill Stein's running mate in 2012, said she first tried feeding beans to Sanders delegates on Tuesday, in front of the AT&T SEPTA subway station. But Honkala said she was arrested for disorderly conduct and led her away in handcuffs. She said she was released a few hours later.

Honkala said she went back to the AT&T location on Wednesday, serving up at least 100 cans of beans at the gates of the Wells Fargo Center. Some Sanders supporters and delegates tried walking out of the convention that evening, but they were stopped by police, she said.

The original plan called for Sanders delegates to consume beans roughly six hours before Clinton accepted the presidential nomination Thursday evening. To express their displeasure with Clinton and the nomination process, the delegates were then supposed to pass gas and leave the arena en masse in protest...

This tactic was designed to disrupt a concert sponsored by a company known for dubious labor practices. The plan was for a number of black churches to sponsor "franks 'n beans" dinners for large numbers of people who would then attend the concert.

The "establishment" capitulated before any gas was dispersed.

Everything old is new again...

To shit because it didn't go to shit. I bet they thought they were breaking new ground. But no one gave it a passing thought. I guess it was a shitty plan with crappy execution. Too bad all their plans wafted away. These guys really stunk up this protest attempt. They hit the brakes so hard the skid marks were a mile long.

Also, stuff about corn and peanuts and bubble gum.

Sorry. Farts are funny. Oh yes, they were planning on going out with a bang.

Reminded of the saying about not cursing the darkness, but rather light a candle... this is not what was meant!

You'd think the greenhouse gas emissions would be a concern.
The sound of an emptying trial balloon, not with a bang, but a whimper of phhhhltttt...

Turned out to be just a little hot air. So concerned, but such counter-productive tactics as to invite ridicule.

is "disorderly conduct" ? WHO knew?

And when Sanders supporters and delegates tried to walk out of the convention,
"they were stopped by police"? LOL! "You can get in, but you can't get out!"

I always thought this was an incredibly stupid idea,
but their misadventures are rather humorous!
