This is my friend Karen's response to Bill-O.

"So, to hear what these two idiots have to say and then read comments posted on blogs, you can see where the hate is started and spread. Yeah motherfucker, I want stuff! I want universal health care! I want better education for my children! I want jobs for my neighbors, family, friends, my own motherfuckin self! I want the housing market to be get better so I can one day sell my dump of a house! I want America to start pumping out it's own fucking products and start getting some of it's jobs back by not outsourcing everything! I want the wars to end! I want my opinions for my own body, and other women, to be heard! I want gay marriage to be counted just like my own! I WANT MINORITIES TO START BEING RECOGNIZED AS PEOPLE THAT HAVE A VOICE AND AN OPINION! That's where you all messed up. You weren't listening to what the majority of people want or had to say..."

And that racism extends, honestly, to any one who isn't just like them. It extends to women, to the poor, to other colors, to other religions, ANYTHING that doesn't think exactly like they do.

I was thinking about that this morning. The right-wing's primary urge is to demonize some group so they can use fear to band their sheep together. It's always the case, they run on fear mongering - NEVER on anything positive.
