The big tent principle is great. But if people want to enter the tent, they have to enter the tent.

These jackass protestors aren't here to be part of the party, to work together to defeat Trump. They are here to disrupt, to help Trump.

One of the ironies of the Green Party apologists is that they keep trying to play the "big tent" card. But the Green Party doesn't want a "Big Tent". They want to kick everyone out of the tent who doesn't agree with them about everything. Anyone who supports TPP (including Obama). Or who doesn't want single payer. Or anything else that doesn't fall within their narrow ideological boundaries.

A big tent party means nobody gets everything they want. It means some people are opposed to TPP, and others support it. Some people want single payer and others want a public-private hybrid like the Dutch system. But the only ones trying to apply ideological litmus tests are the far left. Pro-trade Democrats aren't trying to tell anti-TPP Dems that they need to shut up and leave the party. They don't boo speakers who voice opposition to TPP. And they certainly don't heckle speakers like Elijah Cummings, who was not even talking about trade policy, just to make it known that they will not tolerate the slightest amount of deviation from their ideological extremes.

In a big tent party, we compromise, but we understand that the compromises are worth it because by standing together we are a stronger force than if we keep arguing about the People's Front of Judea versus the Judean People's Front. The Greens/Bobs/far-leftists are not interested in a big tent. They don't want to join us and work together to improve the nation. We have the most progressive platform of all time and all they want to do is whine.

It's an option to work as a Democrat to elect candidates who adhere to specific policy platforms, and not deviate from that. I think it's OK to have various competing groups attempting to capture power within the Democratic Party. It's not a centralized cadre organization - it's not even really a membership organization.

manners once they are there. Such people have not been brought up well at all.

The time for disruption was LAST week. Where were they then? Disrupting a convention whose organizers have bent over backwards to include them is neither counterproductive nor wise. They lose all credibility by such actions. Disappointment is one thing. Destructive behavior is another.

F*** 'em!
