Passing comment and question about a certain poll number.....

Periodically, they show that poll result about the "direction" the country it going. Lately it was apparently at 70% going in the 'wrong' direction. One of the talking heads mentioned that it always seems to be negative. Thinking back on it, I don't believe I've ever seen that one to be over 50% going in the 'right' direction. Anybody else notice this or have a different take on it?

I don't think this has ever had much effect on election outcomes either.

even Democrats that fully support Obama are frustrated by the inertia caused by Republican refusal to deal in good faith with Obama. But the fact is the Democratic Party is about 25 points more popular than the Republican Party and Obama as the Democratic leader is about 30 points more popular than Republican leadership.
