Imagine if over the course of this past year, Hillary Clinton had:

1. Encouraged Russia to hack US computers
2. Openly fantasized about wanting to assault her political opponents
3. Insulted the family of a deceased US serviceman by accusing them of being mindless political tools


Would you even doubt for a second that the right would constantly barrage Hillary for those three statements day and night over and over and over again? Hell, they've kept on her about things they've alleged happened decades ago.

So Donald Trump does those three exact things....in the course of less than a week. And sure, he's gotten called out on it, but he'll keep on going, because he just knows the next story will just around the corner.

It's the Trump Trot in action. He overwhelms us with outrageous statement after outrageous statement until we're numb from shock.

I've long argued that Donald Trump shouldn't be held to a different standard than other politicians. It's high time he stops being excused simply because "that's how he is."
