We have to get in the electoral college frame of mind. I believe

48 states are winner take all for those states.

So we need a 50 state GOTV the popular vote means nothing, we need a majority in states to get any votes at all.

Unlike the primaries or caucus votes are not shared. Each state get 2 votes for the Senate and 1 vote for each member of the House.

So all those who depend on national polls only the state by state are the only ones that count.
