2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI desperately need someone to explain to me how to donate on ActBlue.
It used to be so simple: Put candidate's name in the box and hit "Enter."
Make a contribution. Finished!
I read the DU post about Tammy Duckworth. I went to ActBlue to donate to her. It's completely impenetrable; I'm not stupid, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to donate to Tammy Duckworth on ActBlue. And I've been a member there for years!
I can't even find something that says "How do I make a donation?" It's so filled with impossible layers of shit that I can't figure it out.
I don't need a link to Tammy Duckworth. I need someone to explain to me, in simple terms, How to make a donation there. I used them for years with no problem, but their New Big Deal Shit is impossible to negotiate.

(34,137 posts)Searched for Tammy Duckworth and a donation page popped up:
https://secure.actblue.com/contribute/page/tammy-duckworth-3
They seem to be pushing for more people to use it as a fundraising site instead of making it easier to find people to contribute to, but the functionality is still there.

Thanks for your help.

(34,137 posts)I agree - ActBlue should make it clearer how to find your candidates. I bet a large percentage of people are getting there from links directly to the candidates' pages, though, rather than going to ActBlue to look for a candidate.
