Just remember. He has nowhere to go but up, and America loves a comeback story

Just brace yourselves for the coming weeks. Take nothing for granted. The hardest work is still ahead of us, and once her lead drops below 10% (and it *will*) it will be played as "Clinton loses ground to Trump". Watch.

We've been down this road. We know their tricks. Just brace yourselves.

I agree. It really wouldn't be that hard for Trump to clean up his act, if he was a normal person Bucky Aug 2016 #9

I think Trump can go a lot lower, and I expect him to. His mouth just never stops, and it always gets him in trouble.

and so they're kind of getting inoculated.

The second he rebounds, even slightly, they will blame her.

If HRC wins in a LANDSLIDE this November, the media will say, "First Female President elected in the USA, although not unanimously."

I worry that too much schadenfreude too soon will jinx what's happening, if there's such a thing as bad news for him peaking too soon.

we have to overcome a LOT of spite.

I think we can. I think we will. But he is *going* to move up in the polls. He can't stay this far down

He has been defined, and his wackiness and meanness and reckless statements (NATO, nuclear weapons threats) are not going to be easy for people to forget by this point. We're not talking about "gaffes" here.

And then he's Trump. He's already had more than 3 months to "pivot," and he has only spiraled downward in the outrage department. I doubt he's capable of suddenly turning presidential, knowledgeable, or even sane.

Things are looking good for us right now. But one thing that stuns me is how deeply unpopular and untrustworthy so many of my young friends find Clinton.

Too many people with straight faces continue to stick to the line that they're both equally bad. It's maddeningly insane but that's really how some people feel. Maybe the Chomsky endorsement will help.
