Donald Trump is expected on Cape Cod today, and protesters say theyll be there, too.
Trump is set to attend two private fund-raisers. One is on Nantucket at the residence of Terri and Ron Weinberg. Donors at the 3 p.m. event will give at least $2,700, and couples who want to cochair will be expected to give or raise at least $50,000.
At 6 p.m., Trump is expected at the home of Bill and Bridget Koch in Osterville. Bill Koch is the brother of Charles and David Koch, noted conservatives who have raised money for Republican candidates and causes but who are not supporting Trump. As for Bill Koch, he is a backer of the Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound, a group that opposes an offshore wind project.
Guests at the event will raise or give between $2,700 and $100,000. Former US senator Scott Brown is on the host committee, as are radio host Howie Carr, former state treasurer Joe Malone, and Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael OKeefe.
Meanwhile, NECN reported that up to 200 people may protest Trumps visit. Gabrielle Rossin said a peaceful demonstration is planned from the West Bay Drawbridge to the Koch home, NECN reported.

Mother Jones did an expose' on the Kochs a couple of years ago. They're quite a dysfunctional family with a lot of squabbles that have occurred among the siblings.

(989 posts)They will probably participate in any protest against Trump. These people are self-made millionaires who are very progressive, very pro-Obama, pro-Hillary. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't let him on the grounds.
