(3,739 posts)She is a superstar and the MSM should be fighting over her! She deserves a prime time show. She makes every other journalist on TV look like an amateur.

(7,768 posts)I'm actually surprised they agree to come on her show! How does she book them when they know they're going to their own slaughter?

(6,829 posts)Let's see how long Joy can keep her MSNBC job if she ever asks anybody about the TPP. The mere mention of that heinous piece of only-corporations-matter is grounds for dismissal at MSNBC.

(81,265 posts)That's IT. And it's too bad the hosts/producers/bookers feel so willing to be held hostage to this. We were collectively infuriated by this during bush/cheney. That particular "White House" took full advantage, making clear that if you didn't play ball, you didn't get access. To me, THAT would have been the story. You could bait them at every show - "why don't they want to come on? What are they? SCARED???? Can't take the heat?" And there were plenty of big names who could have been booked as guests. There were all kinds of ways to fill those open spaces. But week after week, cheney, rummy, Contradicta, and more were shoved down our throats with NO rebuttal opportunities offered to the opposition. NONE.
Or - as I'm STILL seeing, there will be a panel of four talking heads. One a GOP elected official. One a CONservative columnist. One a GOP party activist or CONservative organization representative. And Donna Brazile. Donna Brazile is about as mild-mannered, mealy-mouthed, and milquetoast a "competitor" as you'll find on the air, anywhere. TOTAL push-over. No, I take that back. More accurate to say she's a total mow-down. She always seems to want to take feather dusters to gun fights. I saw that week after week after week. They NEVER brought a firebrand Democrat on. NOT ONCE. That playing field was so tilted, so much of the time, that it was an outrage. BEYON infuriating! And I saw that kind of set-up on CNN as recently as within the last week. INCLUDING Donna Brazile.
Every time I see her - I feel the gagging reflex starting in the back of my throat. That she's even an interim head of the DNC gives me the shakes.
