couldn't ask for a more clear example, as those words clearly apply far better to trump unblock Aug 2016 #3

it's proof we are even convincing republicans that Trump is insane.

She is an outrageous republican partisan.

I LOATHE her. She was the biggest cheerleader for GWB, "CLEARLY, he was presidential!"

She's probably dumping on Trump only out of self interest, as she thinks he'll lose.

And I'll never forget her referring to candidate Obama's birthplace of Hawai'i as "exotic."

is when the media 'marvels' over how 'lucky' Clinton is that she's running against Trump. "With any other candidate," they always say, "she wouldn't stand a chance." They mention her unfavorables and her trustworthiness "problem", but they never, ever, EVER mention that MAYBE her being a woman has a big impact on these metrics.

I've come to the conclusion that they're scared of mentioning it – are they afraid someone will accuse them of playing the "woman card"?

Sure, some people won't vote for a woman, as there were always some people who wouldn't vote for a black man. Most of those--at least in a "normal" election--would be unlikely to vote for ANY Democrat, so I think it doesn't really cost us a ton of votes. But she has the other issues you mention (i.e. unfavorability, trustworthiness) which, say, Elizabeth Warren would not. Heck, all else being equal, it's not inconceivable that being a woman could yield a net gain in votes... it doesn't turn off too many voters who aren't already hard right (i.e. lost cause voters), but could increase possible appeal to independent female voters. Honestly, I do think Hillary is lucky to be running against Trump. She is a relatively weak candidate for reasons having nothing to do with her being a woman. Outside the Dem base, she is just not very popular/well-liked. Sure, some of that is because of how the right has constantly vilified her, but it is a fact nonetheless.
