I haven't heard much about weird tweets or stuff like that.
Did I miss something?

(3,335 posts)There was nothing in those endorsements which any teeny, tiny competent person running for national office couldn't have committed to memory. I.e. I endorse Paul Ryan. Paul's a great guy. Great guy. I endorse John McCain. I endorse Ayott.
If he continues on this path, I'm going to make an anonymous call to Adult Protective Services.

(65,340 posts)was being forced to endorse them and did not mean a word of it. He wasnted His "endorsement" to be worse than not endorsing, so the establishment Republicans would learn their lesson and not try to rein him in and control him.
Undoubtedly his passive-aggressive performance seriously ticked off the GOP honchos, and they might have responded with credible threats to disavow him altogether and run fierce ads against him. That would rein him in for a short while, but he is like a Tourette's sufferer. If he can't express his tics, they build up to the point where they suddenly explode in a frantic flurry. He will be back, and when he returns we will see just such a flurry of tweet-tics or comments in interviews or at rallies.

(3,284 posts)I think you should place that anonymous call - I'm worried, too...
Seriously, how pathetic is it when his family/the GOP are ecstatic that he's gone a day without shitting his pants?

(8,050 posts)Also, the good citizens of Peru haven't yet received a Trump shout out.
Then again, it's three months until the election so he has time to run down the list.
I mean, surely Madagascar cannot have escaped his notice.

(58,785 posts)also by the reaction to his running amok after the discipline of the convention. This is becoming a pattern. After this controlled period, he'll probably break out and be himself again, but maybe not so bad for a while. He understands he's in trouble.
His disorder tells him he's right about everything and, because he can't think and feel like normal people, he only knows he's seriously violated social norms when reaction comes from outside his circle of sycophants. And this is the first time in his life that every stupid and astonishingly ignorant thing he says is broadcast for immediate national reaction.

(54 posts)Part of the reason why Trump seemed to be competitive during July is due to Clinton's email controversy, and the fallout over the DNC leaks. Of course, after the disastrous RNC, along with the relatively successful DNC, as well as the ongoing Khan controversy where Trump couldn't stop talking out of his ass, Trump's support plummeted significantly, while HRC got a major boost.
The debates between Clinton and Trump will probably finish off Donald's campaign for good. After all, Trump chickened out of debating Sanders, and will probably crumble when debating Hillary.

(45,806 posts)Probably by showing him the latest polls. I don't think he really wanted to win the Presidency when he jumped into this race, but now that he's the Pub candidate, he can't stand the thought of losing. Fortunately, I don't think this calmness will last. It's just not HIM!
