2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumAfter Trump's behavior today, I am convinced the Clintons had nothing to do with his candidacy...
The thought had lingered in the back of my mind that Trump was a plant to destroy the GOP party. But not after his behavior today. This guy is a mad man.

(54,155 posts)I know some have commented that Bill told Trump to run while at a cocktail party.
That's what's called humoring someone who obviously wants his ego stroked, so you say, "yeah, sure, why don't you run."

(25,950 posts)out there to insure Hillary's election. I never bought into that idea, because from my observation of politics, no one goes into running ror any office who doesn't quickly believe he can win. A stealth (intended to insure Hillary would win) candidacy always struck me as utter nonsense.
And anyone who thinks he's trying to lose does not understand running for office in the least.
Yes, Donald Trump is deluded. But no, he's not in the race to insure Hillary Clinton is our next President. If she is, then she will achieve that on her own.
He thinks that running for President is a lot like being on one of his reality shows. He has no clue whatsoever that there is a life outside of his reality shows. He's beginning to learn otherwise.

(22,871 posts)Trump is a patsy for the Clintons to explain to me how they got an obvious narcissist who hates losing and "losers" to agree to publically lose on a national stage. Dumbest conspiracy ever.
