1. Oh, this is that stupid poll that polls the same group of voters over and over again.

They've been an outlier throughout the election cycle.

The fact that Clinton is up at all is great news.

This is the poll that Trump was personally promoting when all other polls showed him down.

that is a very odd poll to begin with. They have a pool of participants, and all they do it ask a different random sample of that main pool for each round. And if I recall correctly, the pool is made up of wonks, politicians, professors and such. A specially selected group of them, not really a random sample crafted to resemble the electorate as a whole.

Changing attitudes among a representative set of voters, but I do not think it is possible to do. Only partisans and cranks would commit to such a lengthy process.

9. Different polling. Rather than calling people randomly, they have a subgroup of this pool

to answer questions every day.

This poll seems skewed to the right (it started with Trump up by 1 when everybody had Trump down by 3 or 4) but the trends of the poll are fairly consistent with everybody else. It went all the way to Trump up by 7 at the beginning of the Democratic convention and Clinton has gained 8 to 9 points since)

I would not worry about their numbers by themselves. Worry about averages.
