I had a boss who would order me to do some internet research of some idiotic thing that would pop in his mind. I would ignore it and he would never ask for any report. I just get right on it and then just blow it off.
I learned from experience if they do not write it down it is not going to happen. People have to many things going on to keep track of stuff unless you write it down.
