RNC Chairman Reince Priebus made an unannounced appearance at Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Erie, Pennsylvania on Friday. During his introduction of the candidate, Priebus attempted to tamp down any fears about the Republican Party’s support of its nominee. “Don’t believe the garbage you read,” Priebus told the crowd. “Let me tell you something: Donald Trump, the Republican Party, all of you, we’re gonna put him in the White House and save this country together.” The joint appearance came on the same day that RNC officials were set to meet with representatives from the Trump campaign in Orlando, Florida to discuss a plan to get the candidate back on track after weeks of falling poll numbers in battleground states.
